Farmers Union lowers auto insurance rates

(Greenwood Village, Colo.) - National Farmers Union Insurance has lowered auto insurance rates in Colorado. While the rate decreases vary based on geographic territory, demographics and other underwriting factors, most policy holders should notice a moderate decrease in their auto premiums.

The new rates are already available for new customers and take effect for renewing policy holders on Jan. 1. In addition to lower base rates, policy holders can also take advantage of many available discounts like three year accident /violation free, homeownership, paid in full and NFU farm organization membership that can make their premiums even lower.

"Our good results and strong market potential in Colorado prompted this decision," said Jerry Mackey, president and CEO of Farmers Union. "We thank our agents and Colorado customers for providing us the opportunity to offer this decrease."

Farmers Union Insurance began in 1945 under National Farmers Union, a leading farm advocacy organization.
