About Us

Hi, I am Michelle Manes, a fully licensed agent with experience in the insurance business since 1996. I specialize in Farm, Home, Auto and Commercial Insurance! I also offer Life and Health products as a convenience for my current policyholders.  With the availability of several companies along with Farmer's Union, I am able to diversity and offer many policy options to suit the customer's individual needs.

My insurance career began in Ogallala, NE where I became licensed as a Sales Associate for State Farm.  After a year, I moved back to my hometown, Beatrice and worked for 6 more years as a State Farm Associate.  In 2002, I was offered an opportunity with QBE Farmers Union Insurance and the Midwest Regional Agency to manage my own agency. I enjoy the opportunity to try and help people with the constant challenges that surround insurance today.

I carry a Bachelors Degree from Peru State College in Psychology/Sociology and Business Management.  My first full year in business I was awarded the Midwest Region New Agent of the Year!  When the company awarded sales incentive trips I earned 4 Mile High trips including Georgia, Mexico, Panama and Ojai.  Two of the four trips I was also awarded the top honor of President’s Club membership.  In 2010, I was awarded membership to the Farmers Union Million Dollar Club by reaching the milestone of an annual premium at the One Million Dollar mark.

Our office is very devoted to customer service. Our motto is “One Agent is All You Need” as we offer the latest insurance options with the customer service you'd expect.  I attend Beatrice Holy Cross church, where I volunteer as a Sunday School Teacher, VBS and other youth activities. I am a member of the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce, EBBA,  and the National Managers Association. 

Nebraska Insurance

Max Manes and I were married in 2012.  Max is a CPA and Partner with Schulz and Associates.  Our son, Waylon, is a very active and athletic 10 year-old in the Fourth grade and keeps us very busy.  We enjoy watching him bowl, fish, play baseball and shoot his BB Gun and bow and arrow.  Together as a family, we enjoy gardening, fishing, staying at our family lake cabin, yardwork and just being outdoors.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, cooking, canning, jogging and Husker football.   I am an avid deer hunter and have a couple trophy bucks that I am proud of.

I have two knowledgeable assistants, Jamie Miller and Dakota Hurley that help with every aspect of running the office efficiently.  I have a convenient location with plenty of parking.

Jamie and her husband Eric reside in Beatrice with their two daughters, Molly and Madison, 12 and 10 months.  They enjoy spending time at home and enjoying their family time.  Eric is a Journeyman for Wrightsman Plumbing. 

Dakota is working toward a degree in Business Administration. Her and her husband, Jerrad Hurley have a one year old son, Parker, and they attend the Church of Christ in Wymore.  Dakota enjoys gardening, biking, shopping and watching races and football.  They also stay busy with Jerrad's cattle business.
