Our farm and ranch policies are designed specifically for the farmers and ranchers in North Dakota. 5% of the premiums collected, go to the North Dakota QBE Farmers Union which is the farm organization that works politically to support and protect the farm organizations.
One of the main discounts we offer our farmowner policy holders is the IRPM Credit – Individual Risk Program Modification. This is a discount we can credit for farm safety, building upkeep, care and upkeep of premises. We can credit up to 10%. Answer: Our standard policy is replacement coverage on dwellings on the farm and actual cash value on out buildings.
Question: Do we have blanket coverage? (Covers everything you have on your farm).
Answer: We offer blanket coverage for farm machinery, farm livestock, and farm grain
To determine which coverage we would recommend for your farm and ranch insurance we have to go through a few steps. We evaluate the dwellings and out buildings. I, as an agent, go out and inspect and evaluate all the structures on the property. We need to know the age of the buildings and the age of the roof as well as any other relevant details.
Farm liability coverage is an important part of your policy. It would cover any liability damage that the farmer would inflict on anyone else’s property.
Umbrella liability policy is another option we offer. It gives the insured another million or two million dollars of coverage over their farm liability and auto liability. State minimum amounts on dwellings and outbuildings are 80% of replacement cost.
We also offer a farm safety class to our clients. If our clients participate in this safety class they will receive a discount on their farm or ranch policy.
